AgriLASA was founded in 1993 as a non-profitable association with the mission to promote the interests of its member laboratories and to give recognition to the quality of services rendered by members to laboratory users.

• Liaison
  The Association shall liaise with member laboratories and their owners, experts, interested parties and other authorities concerning analytical matters in order to achieve its goals.
• Standard Methods of Analysis
  The Association will co-ordinate the evaluation, validation, distribution and maintenance of analytical methods.
• Quality Control
  The Association will set minimum requirements, guidelines and, where applicable, standards of the different proficiency testing disciplines in the scheme.
• Conference/Structures
  In addition to meetings within the context of matters of the Association, the Association must organize events or put structures in place in order to promote its aims.  In this regard meetings, workshops, symposia, courses etc. may be organized or ad hoc committees appointed to discuss specific issues.
